History

ADINET was established in the 1990s with a small group of visionary library professionals who recognised the need for cooperative library services in Ahmedabad. Over the decades, the network has grown to include libraries from educational institutions, government departments, and public libraries across the city.

The network has played a pioneering role in automating library services, developing shared catalogues, and promoting information literacy across Gujarat.

The network has played an important role to connect different libraries in Gujarat.
